Research Center for National Intellectual Property Strategy Implementation
Research Center for National Intellectual Property Strategy Implementation received the formal approval of the State Intellectual Property office in April, 2013. Tianjin University was primarily responsible for the construction of the Center under the guidance of State Intellectual Property office and assistant management of Municipal Intellectual Property office in Tianjin.
The Center is affiliated to the College of Management and Economics of Tianjin University and is under the leadership of Coordination Committee. Director of the Center is Zhang Wei who is also the director of the College of Management and Economics. A committee of experts was set up and comprises domestic and overseas senior scholars and experts in the area.
Compared with other similar domestic research centers, whose research is based on the science of law and being affiliated to law schools of universities, this Center carries out intellectual property strategy implementation research and provides strategic support on the basis of management science and municipal disciplines like economics and information science etc. and is based on the science and engineering background of Tianjin University.
