Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education on Efficient Use of Medium and Low Temperature Thermal Energy
The Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education on Efficient Use of Medium and Low Temperature Thermal Energy (Tianjin University) was approved and established in January 2012. Combined with the great demands of national development of energy saving and environmental protection, new energy and other emerging industries, aimed at the frontiers of science of medium and low temperature thermal energy focused on geothermal energy, solar energy and industrial waste heat, based on thermal science, cross-integrated with disciplines as system science, material science and environmental science, bringing the research strengths and backbone role of Power Engineering and Engineering Thermal Physics Disciplines in Tianjin University into full play in the field of medium and low temperature thermal energy. From energy collection, transfer and transformation, and all aspects of the application, the Laboratory studies the scientific problems in the efficient utilization process of medium and low temperature thermal energy, providing scientific basis and new technological ways of settling the problems of efficiency, environment, economic costs, etc. in the energy transfer and transformation process.
