Happy 125th Anniversary, Tianjin University!

On October 2, 2020, Tianjin University, the first modern university in China, marked its 125thanniversary with a cloud celebrating ceremony and 12.5-hour live video streaming about its campus and all the festive activities that featured forums, exhibitions, performances, and virtual campus tours.

The 125-year-old university not only commemorated its rich history and cherished traditions on its birthday, but also expressed a strong wish to march into an innovation-led promising future.
It organized events like an innovation and entrepreneurship competition sponsored by alumni and an Entrepreneur Leader Forum which dozens of successful entrepreneur alumni attended.

The celebration will cap with the show performed by 1,250unmannedaerial vehicles (UAVs) at night.
Founded in 1895, Tianjin University is a National Key University under the direct administration of the Ministry of the Education, and among the first batch of Chinese universities to participate in the country’s construction plan of world-class universities and first-class disciplines. Up to now, the university has nurtured over 300,000 talents.
